Royal Mail introduced Mailmark as their most recent and efficient franking mark. The Mailmark frank has a different appearance than the previous marks and now includes a 2D barcode making it possible to capture more information on each franked mail than available previously. Mailmark not only offers the lowest prices for franking but also: automatically updates tariff prices, is no longer postcode restricted allowing you to post anywhere, gives you additional discounts, does not require annual inspections and allows you to print prepaid reply envelopes.

Mailmark offers the best franking prices. To send a first class letter will cost 64p using a stamp and only 51p using Mailmark franking, if you were going to send a first class large letter weighing 250g it would cost £1.27 using stamps and £1.10 using Mailmark franking. These are savings of 13p and 17p, with savings on every item of mail it will soon add up.

As Mailmark is the most recent franking mark Royal Mail have ensured this mark is up to date with technology as well as offering more benefits, ease of use and improvement of the whole franking process. Using the 2D barcode allows Royal Mail to quickly and simply process the mail, generate reports and make the information available for customers.

Mailmark isn’t just for sending letters in the UK, you can send anything from letters to large parcels in the UK or internationally. You also do not need to send from a particular postcode (the older franking stamps include the old town die printed on meaning you could only post from within that postcode, Mailmark does not have this meaning you can post from anywhere in the country).

The Mailmark franking mark includes the new barcode, this gives the post you are sending a much more professional appearance. A lot of information is stored/ included without impacting on the appearance of your mail, the barcode and your company logo ensures a great final look.
